Qatar will allow fans to purchase beer during World Cup Games. Beer sales will be available three hours before the game and one hour after the final whistle. However, beer will not be available during the actual game. 

Budweiser has the exclusive rights to sell beer during the World Cup. It will serve beer within a ticketed section around the stadium. However, it will not be available in the concourse or stands. Qatar has strict rules on alcohol, and it has become a unique challenge for organizers. 

Aside from the stadium, Budweiser can sell beer in the FIFA fan zone from 6:30 PM to 1:00 AM during the World Cup tournament. According to the World Cup schedule change, the tournament starts on November 20. 

Qatar to Sell Beer During World Cup Games

According to a sports blog, beer was served in fan zones during World Cup competitions the entire day. Qatar World Cup organizers picked the location for selling beer. However, they are still discussing the price of beer during the tournament. 

Qatar's World Cup coordinators, the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, didn't answer demands for input about the World Cup controls on liquor. Instead, Qatar's administration media office guided solicitations to the Supreme Committee.

Four matches are booked on most days of the first stage, with the earliest match starting at 1 PM.

It was not promptly clear how Qatar would deal with beer deals before the Iran and Wales game on November 25. It falls on a Friday, which is a day when Muslims assemble at mosques for the weekly prayers. Also, Qatar now requires most shops and cafés in the country to close during Friday prayers.
